André Macedo
Doctor André Macedo always knew from a very young age that his profession was bound to be linked to medicine. He completed his secondary education at Liceu Jaime Moniz, entering Dentistry in 2002 at ISCS-N. Graduated in 2008 with a final grade of 17 out of 20. With a keen taste for teaching, he was invited by the dean of the faculty to be professor of Pharmacology and Therapeutics at the same institution, exercising these functions from 2007 to 2015. Passionate about surgery and oral rehabilitation, for 10 years he accumulated many courses and postgraduate degrees in these areas, highlighting a specialization title in oral surgery by ISCS-N in 2009-2010. Dazzled by the aesthetic requirement, he differentiates himself in adhesive prosthodontics, culminating this journey with the invitation, in 2019, to join the clinical teaching staff of the reference postgraduate course in Portugal in Advanced Biomimetics. He practices his profession at the Arriaga clinic, on the beautiful island of Madeira, with a main focus on oral surgery, implantology and fixed prosthodontics.
Filipe Moreira
Doctor Filipe Leitão Moreira was born in January 1995 in the city of Lisbon. At the age of ten, he enrolled in the Colégio Militar, a boarding military school, where he established the matrix of his intellectual, personal and social development. Since then, he has sought to combine a consistent academic path with a deep desire to contribute to the improvement of the institutions he had the opportunity to represent. Determined, resilient, responsible and proactive, anyone who knows him would highlight his sense of responsibility in the way he works. During the hospital clinical residency held between 2015 and 2020, he awakens his interest in Advanced Oral Rehabilitation and Oral Surgery, areas to which he dedicates, with ingenuity and art, most of the effort and intelligence of his clinical practice. In 2019, he joined the Biomimetic Dentistry Portugal group, a major reference in postgraduate training in Advanced Oral Rehabilitation.
Hugo Costa Lapa
I was born in Lisbon on October 23, 1979 and did my primary and secondary education at Colégio Militar, also in Lisbon. Later, in 1997, I entered the university and received a degree in Dental Medicine from the Faculty of Dental Medicine of the University of Lisbon in 2004. In 2005, and over the next two years, I started a program of observation and follow-up of the Maxillofacial Surgery and Oral Implantology consultation at CUF Descobertas Hospital. My clinical activity began in 2005, also at CUF Descobertas Hospital, where I remain exclusively until the present day. In 2012 I helped to found the Biomimetic Dentistry Portugal group, which became a national reference in the area of education and postgraduate training in Dentistry, which today is called BDP Education. In 2019, with the aim of creating materials and products for use in Dentistry centered on environmental concerns and the sustainability of the planet, I decided to create the Organic Dentistry brand, which today exports all over the world. Nowadays, I dedicate myself essentially to the areas of oral implantology and rehabilitation, operative dentistry and fixed prosthesis, in a conservative and minimal approach perspective.
João Desport
João Desport was born in Gondomar, Portugal, in 1962. He earned his degree in Medicine and Surgery in 1986 from the Faculty of Medicine of Porto and obtained the title of general practitioner after completing his General Internship at the General Hospital of Santo António in the same city. He also graduated in Dental Medicine, in 1990, from the Faculty of Dental Medicine of Porto. Among the numerous postgraduate courses and training he has undertaken, the following stand out: diploma in "implant dentistry" (university of Gothenburg / university of Barcelona), post-graduate in "predictable aesthetic and longevity with bonded porcelain restorations" (San Francisco, USA), and post-graduation in "function and dysfunction of the masticatory organ" (Viesid in Bucharest, Romania). He was a founding member of the Portuguese Society of Aesthetic Dentistry and a member of the scientific committee of the Portuguese Dental Association from 2010 to 2020. Together with colleagues Hugo Costa Lapa and João Fonseca, he founded the Biomimetic Dentistry Portugal (BDP) group in 2012 and has been a lecturer at CESPU in the Postgraduate program in Advanced Biomimetic Oral Rehabilitation since then. He began his career as a dentist in 1990 at the clinic founded by his father, who was a stomatologist and full professor at the Faculty of Dental Medicine of Porto, where he simultaneously assisted in his consultations. In 2009, he became the owner of the clinic, where he now works exclusively, focusing on complex aesthetic oral rehabilitation, ceramic veneers, implantology, and periodontology.
João Mouzinho
Doctor João Mouzinho was born in 1983 in the historic city in the center of the country named "Tomar". Since he was a child, he gained a love for health, the result of a family linked to medicine. In 2001, he had an accident that caused him to lose his upper central incisor, and from that point on, he decided that he wanted to be a Dentist. He moved to Porto in 2001 where he completed his degree in Dentistry. He always believed that training could make him a better professional, having done several postgraduate courses in Implantology and Aesthetic Rehabilitation, and a master's degree in Periodontology. He worked in several Dental Practices, until in 2014 he opened his own clinic - MOLAR CLINIC. As he believes in teamwork, he joined a team of brilliant Dentists in their areas, to make MOLAR CLINIC a reference clinic in the national scenario. At present, he dedicates himself exclusively to dental implantology and oral rehabilitation with ceramic veneers, areas in which he continues to graduate, in order to be able to provide a service of the highest quality, always with the most innovative technologies to support him.
João Castela Rodrigues
Doctor João Castela was born in 1987 in Santarém where he completed his primary and secondary education. In 2012 he completed the Integrated Master in Dental Medicine at the Faculty of Dental Medicine of the University of Lisbon. After this stage, he began his clinical practice as a general dentist while at the same time he continued his studies in different courses and postgraduates in the following years, of which the Postgraduate in Advanced Biomimetic Oral Rehabilitation in 2016 stands out. Doctor João Castela carries out his clinical practice at the "Oral Function" clinic where he is dedicated to the areas of Oral Rehabilitation and Conservative Dentistry. He is also part of the BDP Education group, through which he is part of the Postgraduate Course in Advanced Biomimetic Oral Rehabilitation.
Luís Afonso
Doctor Luís Afonso was born on November 7, 1990, in Viseu, where he completed his basic and secondary education at the Alves Martins high school. He entered the Integrated Master in Dental Medicine at the Catholic University, in Viseu, and after the first year he continued his studies at the University of Porto, having obtained a Master's degree from the Faculty of Dental Medicine of the University of Porto in 2016. He began his professional career in January 2017, and in that same year he attended his first postgraduate course, in the area of Oral Rehabilitation, Occlusion and Fixed Prosthesis. In 2018, he began his connection with the Instituto de Reabilitação Oral de Viseu, a clinic where he exercises his clinical practice in the areas of Fixed Prosthesis, Aesthetic Oral Rehabilitation and Biomimicry and Dentistry. In 2019, he attended the postgraduate course in Advanced Biomimetic Oral Rehabilitation, at CESPU, with the aim of improving his knowledge of Aesthetic and Conservative Dentistry, and being able to interact with some of the greatest world references in the area. To this day, he has attended several national and international congresses and postgraduate courses in the field of Dentistry, Esthetics, Fixed Prosthesis and Oral Rehabilitation. In 2021, he began his career as a teacher, participating in training courses on Dentistry, Aesthetics and Fixed Prosthesis, with a special focus on Vertical Preparations and their clinical application. It is also in 2021 that he receives the invitation to join the faculty of the course that inspired him to start the path in Dental Medicine of excellence, the postgraduate degree in Advanced Biomimetic Oral Rehabilitation.
Luís Leão
Graduated in Dentistry from Instituto Superior de Ciências de Saúde do Norte, with post-graduate degrees in Bio-Aesthetic Dentistry and Advanced Biomimetic Rehabilitation and Masters in Oral Surgery and Implantology, Dr. Luís Leão is a nationally renowned professional with an exclusive practice in implantology and oral rehabilitation, who since the beginning of his career has always sought to evolve and learn more, using courses, masterclasses and seminars that would make his practice evolve. A career of dedication made Dr. Luís Leão managed to combine two of his areas of choice: Oral Surgery Treatments, Implantology and Aesthetic Oral Rehabilitation, which he performs at the Clinic he founded with Dr. João Cerejeira; and Professional training, collaborating as a trainer in implantology and oral rehabilitation courses, in postgraduate programs and participating in national conferences in the field of oral rehabilitation. Its main objective is to help its patients to obtain the desired smile, while helping its colleagues to reach the level in Dentistry that they desire.
Mafalda Gonçalves
Mafalda Gonçalves was born on December 13, 1993, in Aveiro. She completed her Master's Degree in Dentistry at the Fernando Pessoa University (Porto) in 2016. She was invited by this institution to join research teams and public oral health projects. Currently, her clinical practice is focused on the fields of Dental Aesthetics, Operative Dentistry, Occlusion and Pediatric Dentistry. She consistently invests in national and international training within these areas. Self-improvement, critical thinking, and determination are some of the core values that guide her professional activities. Working with reference teams is a fundamental requirement of her professional journey. In 2020, she became a member of the training team for the Advanced Biomimetic Oral Rehabilitation Post-Graduate Program.
Mário Afonso
Doctor Mário Afonso is natural from Felgueiras, Portugal. He graduated in dental medicine from Instituto Superior de Ciências da Saúde Norte in 2008. In 2009 and 2010 he progressed to further training in oral surgery and implantology, which are areas of dentistry to which he dedicates much of his clinical activity to this day.His interest in oral surgery led him to join the prestigious Urban Regeneration Institute in Budapest (Hungary) in 2015, training in advanced bone regeneration techniques with Professor Istvan Urban. In 2017 Mario attended the Postgraduate Course in Advanced Biomimetic Oral Rehabilitation, at the same institute where he graduated years before. In 2018, he joined the Biomimetic Dentistry Portugal group, a reference group in the field of postgraduate training in aesthetic and conservative oral rehabilitation. He is an educator to other dentists in a national level in the fields of mucogingival surgery, periodontal and peri-implant aesthetics. He currently dedicates his clinical practice exclusively to the areas of surgery and oral rehabilitation.

Raul Costa
Dr. Raul Costa was born in Lisbon in 1980. At the age of 14 he was diagnosed with severe root resorption in the upper incisors, as a result of orthodontics. It was in this environment of iatrogenics that the interest in Dentistry arose. He graduated from the Faculty of Dental Medicine in Lisbon in 2005 and since then has been obsessed with ultra-conservative restorative techniques, in order to ensure that his intervention does not cause harm. Keeping teeth healthy, restoring their original function and beauty with a view to longevity is at the heart of his vision of what Dentistry should be. With that in mind, he took several postgraduate courses focused on dental aesthetics and minimally invasive rehabilitation. He has been practicing in London since 2008, where he has his practice in the center of Marylebone.
Rodrigo Cavaco
Doctor Rodrigo Cavaco was born in Lisbon on September 18, 1977. He completed his university training at FMDUL in 2001. In 2007 he founded Dental Concept, where he is dedicated to the areas of Oral Rehabilitation and Implantology. With the aim of achieving excellence in dental medicine, it held several courses in its areas of intervention. In 2014, he completed a post-graduate course in Advanced Biomimetic Oral Rehabilitation. Speaker at National and International Congresses. Professor in several post-graduate courses and courses in training centers. In 2020, he joined the Bioemulation group, a world reference in scientific development and in the creation of excellent dental medicine.
Tiago Silva
Doctor Tiago Silva was born on January 30, 1984 and attended primary and secondary education at Grande Colégio Universal, in Porto. In 2008, he graduated in Dentistry from Cespu - Instituto Universitário Saúde da Saúde - Norte. At the end of that year, he was invited to teach as an assistant professor in the field of general anatomy and neuroanatomy. To date, it still performs this function. Between 2009 and 2012, he attended courses on Oral Implantology. In 2012, he obtained a Master's degree in Surgery and Oral Pathology from the Faculty of Dental Medicine of the University of Porto. In the same year, he also attended an Endodontics course at RCPendo. In 2016, he attended the postgraduate course in Aesthetic and Conservative Dentistry - Advanced Biomimatic Oral Rehabilitation by Biomimetic Dentistry Portugal at Cespu. Between 2016 and 2018, he attended courses in clinical occlusion, functional and aesthetic diagnosis (analog and digital). Since 2017 he teaches at the Postgraduate Course in Advanced Biomimetic Oral Rehabilitation and is a member of the Biomimetic Dentistry Portugal Group. Also in 2017, he was awarded the title of Specialist in Oral Surgery by the Portuguese Dental Association. In 2019, he obtained the degree of Doctor in Dentistry from the Faculty of Dental Medicine of the University of Oporto. Since 2008, he has been practicing privately mainly in Oporto.
Vasco Nunes da Silva
Doctor Vasco Nunes da Silva was born on February 11, 1987, he completed his basic training at the Catholic School of Salesianos do Estoril and secondary education at the lyceum of S. João do Estoril. He received a Master's degree in Dentistry from the Instituto de Ciências da Saúde Egas Moniz in 2012 and since then began his connection to pre-graduate teaching, as a guest monitor, at the same institution, in the discipline of Conservative Dentistry I and II, having promoted to Invited Assistant Professor in 2014. From an early age, he voluntarily joined observation and internship initiatives in several areas of Dentistry (surgery, Oral rehabilitation and Orthodontics) at Lx CLINIC and Maxillofacial Surgery at CUF Descobertas Hospital. He completed two postgraduate courses in the area of Orthodontics. One completed in 2014 in Lisbon, Portugal, by the Eduardo Prado Institute and another in San Sebastian, Spain, completed in 2016, by the FACE Group of Multidisciplinary Advanced Orthodontics. He is an INVISALIGN provider since 2015. In 2020 he was invited to be a member and speaker by the international group of Be International Dental Expert (BEiDE). It was also in this year that he joined the Postgraduate team at BDP education, as a guest professor. Doctor. Vasco Nunes da Silva bases his clinical practice in the areas of Orthodontics, Aesthetic, Biomimetic and Functional Oral Rehabilitation. He is linked to postgraduate teaching in the area of biomimetic oral rehabilitation and is the author of several publications in congresses and scientific journals.
